In a match billed by many to be one of the biggest matches in the Sky Bet League One this season, Blackpool FC were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Wycombe Wandereres at Bloomfield Road. A very intense game of football it was!

Wanderers started the game the brighter side as they played with so much intensity in the opening the 10 minutes. Jay Spearing caused the Blackpool manager some headache just 5 minutes into the game, after going down under a challenge from Jacobson.

It was the end of the game for Spearing as the midfielder was replaced by former Manchester United man Pritchard.

The pressure soon paid off for Wycombe as an in-swinging corner from Jacobson connected with the head of Akinfenwa, to send the ball into the back of the net. The goal came in the 11th minute, sending Wycombe fans into frenzy.

There were still lots to play for however, with more than 79 minutes of football left to play. Blackpool continued to probe for an equalizer but the Wycombe defense proved a very tough nut to crack throughout the first period. 1-0 the first half ended.

Blackpool finally got behind their opposition defense five minutes into the second half, with Heneghan rising highest to a perfectly-taken corner to head his team right back into the game.

Wycombe soon regained the lead however, and as you would guess – it was from a corner again!

Another wicked corner delivery from Jacobson looked like it was heading straight into the net but Jason McCarthy will claim the goal as the ball appeared to have touched him slightly on its way home.

The Chairboys’ will be forgiven for thinking the game was over after their fluke goal but there was more drama.

Blackpool snatched a point from the Wanderers in the 82nd minute after Kirby was hacked down in the box, substitute Pritchard stepping up to send the ball home. 2-2 was how it ended at Bloomfield Road.
