BARNSLEY EYE NICE STARLET DANILIUC FOR POTENTIAL TRANSFER

English Lower-League side Barnsley are proving that they mean business this summer and want to sign several players as they continue to build their team in a bid to have a strong campaign this season. The English club have been linked with a couple of players this summer and even though they are yet to make a senior signing, they are believed to be working around the clock and trying to locate the best available players within their reach. While they have been credited with an interest in Manchester United’s young defender Axel Tuanzebe, they have also been reported to have shown an interest in signing youngster Flavius Daniliuc from French Ligue 1 club Nice.

Although they look set to miss out on the loan signing of United youngster Tuanzebe with the young Netherlands international central defender said to be moving close to joining Aston Villa this summer, they may well snap up Daniliuc in the next few days before the end of the summer transfer window. Daniliuc, a 20-year-old, who plays for the Austria Under-21 youth team, is widely rated as a promising young talent and Barnsley are not the only side that have shown interest in signing him this summer.

Brighton and Hove Albion, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace have all expressed interest in signing him at some point last season but nothing concrete had emerged from those rumors so far. The young defender is expected to leave Nice this summer as he wants to continue his development by playing more games at this stage of his career. He is said to be keen to earn a call-up to the Austria national team at the senior level and a move to join Barnsley could be an opportunity too hard to turn down.
