PREMIER LEAGUE NEW SEASON ‘UNDROPPABLES’

The Premier League is set to begin next month.

There are some players that are almost sure of playing all games as long as they are fit. For the top sides, they include the following.

For Premier League champions, there is David Luiz. The Brazilian is an undroppableas he is expected to combine with skipper Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta in defence. He is the balanced of the three as Cahill lacks pace and Azpilicueta is not far from the ground. N’GoloKante could rival him for the undroppbale tag but the middle is set to get interesting with the proposed acquisitions and options.

At Arsenal, defender Laurent Koscielny earns that tag. Nacho Montreal and PetrCech are close rivals but the French player easily wins it.

At Anfield, Joel Matip is a serious contender, even ahead of the aging James Milner. The Cameroonian is a stable force at the back so he is expected to play in every game. Continue Reading “PREMIER LEAGUE NEW SEASON ‘UNDROPPABLES’”

JOKANOVIC – WINNALL DOES NOT AFFECT BARNSLEY GAME

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has said that the same of Sam Winnall from the club would not impact their game when they face Barnsley on Saturday.

The player is wildly expected to join Sheffield Wednesday when he completes his medical on Thursday, according to reports making the rounds in the transfer market.

Winnall’s current deal is set to lapse at the end of this term but he has opted to move to Barnsely despite being earlier linked with a move to Brentford. He has scored 11 goals in 23 games for the Tykes this campaign to make his total at Oakwell 48 after two and a half years. He was shortlisted for the PFA Championship Player of the Month award last month but it was eventually awarded to Leeds player Pontus Jansson.

“We follow all the information about Barnsley but this is not in my control. I have to work with my team and fully focus on preparing for what we must do in the game. Continue Reading “JOKANOVIC – WINNALL DOES NOT AFFECT BARNSLEY GAME”

Barnsley boosts their chance of play-off

Barnsley has boosted their chance to make it to the play-offs by winning a difficult match at Port Vale. The match ended 1-0 thanks to a goal from ConorHourihane, but the game itself was far from being convincing by the away side.

Paul Heckingbottom, Barnsley’s temporary manager, was keen to acknowledge that the way his team played was far from being perfect. He believes that his players will need to lift their games if they want to make it to the play-offs. Continue Reading “Barnsley boosts their chance of play-off”

Leeds United go into the new campaign with aspirations

Leeds United go into the new campaign with aspirations about being promoted to the Premier League but it will be easier said than done since the club has been in this situation more often than not in the last five years.

The current ownership of the club has also not provided the stability that is required to put together a title challenge. This could change in the coming campaign with former Wigan manager Uwe Rosler at the helm. The German says that he is prepared for a long campaign up ahead. Even now, many are starting to doubt the longevity of Rosler given the average results in the club’s recent friendly matches.

After having played three friendly matches so far, Leeds have yet to taste a success.Rosler will come under increasing pressure ahead of the next couple of matches – against Hoffenheim and Everton. Even though these are just pre-season friendly matches designed to build the fitness of the players, it would also be helpful in getting the manager more information about the players at his disposal. However, two draws and one defeat in the three games is certainly not confidence inspiring. The team open the campaign with a home game against newly relegated Burnley. Sam Allardyce is sacked by West Ham United and now the search for a new manager begins

The beginning of the season was a sensational one for West Ham United and Sam Allardyce as the club managed to claim huge victories against big clubs such as: Manchester City and Liverpool. This allowed West Ham United to compete in the higher spots of the Premier League for a few weeks but things began to collapse in the 2nd half of the season as they slipped points and spots in the English until eventually managing to secure the 12th spot of the Premier League.

It seems like claiming the 12th position wasn’t good enough for the head chiefs of West Ham United as it has been confirmed that Sam Allardyce was not offered a contract extension and the manager had to leave his managerial role at the club.

The announcement was made to the public less than 24 hours after West Ham United played their last match of the season against Newcastle United on May 24 in a match that concluded with a final scoreboard of 2-0.

There is a list of managers who are rumored to being selected as the new manager of West Ham United including: Carlo Ancelotti, Rafael Benitez, Andre Villas-Boas and Steve McClaren. Continue Reading “Sam Allardyce is sacked by West Ham United and now the search for a new manager begins”

Sam Allardyce took a dig at his counterpart Louis Van Gaal

Sam Allardyce, the Hammers boss, took a dig at his counterpart Louis Van Gaal after his team fell just short of what would have been a thoroughly deserved home win yesterday.

West Ham was leading 1-0 with final whistle to be blown anytime by the referee.

The win was as close as it could get. It was just a matter of seconds.

But, in Football, seconds are enough for the outcome of a game to take a turn.

You never know when the luck favours which team.

A clearance by one of the West Ham defenders in the 93rd minute went to Daley Blind who hit the target with ease to get it all levelled up at Upton Park.

It left the home supporters pulling their hairs out. Their disappointment level was reaching the maximum and that was obvious. They had every right to wonder how on earth they could not close in the game.

It was West Ham’s game no doubt. The scorecard obviously showed 1-1 at the end, but, it was not the reflection of the true story.

However, the Red Devils must get the credit for the fact that they did not mind playing a different style of Football in the last half of the game. They played long balls which they generally don’t like to do. They are more of a technical team. Continue Reading “Sam Allardyce took a dig at his counterpart Louis Van Gaal”
